With the large explosion, the environment is severely affected.  The bomb eliminates all plant life, leaving remnants of a once thriving area.  Due to the strength of the radiation applied in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the entire world was affected.  The radiation leaked through the ground, killing most plants.  Later, radiation was found in all areas of the world.  Because the radiation applied to the region is detrimental, the environment will most likely never be the same.  Temperatures can rise to 100 million degrees, burning everyone and everything in its path.
